The place was clean, I booked the deluxe king room with views of mountain, everything was fine. The hotel's staff were helpful all the time. Location: the property was close to a nice cafe, a forest of tall pines, and many restaurants. Liked this brand-new hotel, can recommend.

Bad smell in the room.

Comfortable, good location, clean, well themed
Providing "eco-friendly" bath products in tiny individual plastic packages defeats the purpose of being eco-friendly. There are dispensers in the bathroom so it would be better to use though to be more sustainable.

Location to Mt. Shasta was great.
It was pretty expensive for an older place. The outside staircases and balconies needed some attention. Wished the breakfast could be on the premises and start at an earlier hour ( 8 am is late).

Our room was next to someone with a dog. We asked to be moved and they did. There was a pool table in lobby, nice. It was directly across the street from one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants.
It's great to offer a free breakfast, but it's a little ghetto. There was mold on my husband's french toast. They also ran out of almost everything. And the breakfast was across the street at the hotel that was supposed to be nicer than the Woodsman... But there was a tv in the dining room that had Food Network on and that made me happy.

Some areas could use better lighting for visibility.

On the way to a better destination.
The receptionist was non attentive at check in. (On the phone) She avoided eye contact while on the phone. Could not tell us when the restaurant would be open ."4 or 4:30ish" It was 4:15 needless to say we ate elsewhere. Come on now ...the ice was across the street and we were next to the restaurant! There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom and we never got one from the young man who was cleaning rooms. The bed was uncomfortable as were the pillows. The room had an odor. What a disappointment. We do not mind rustic, but this felt more like a "No tell motel"

It was in a convenient location on our trip to Salem, or to see our family. Breakfast across the street at Strawberry Valley Inn was very nice.
No closet, no chair, no ice, no on-site drink machine. More basic than we expected for the price paid.

Nice location.
Totally inadequate heating. Our room had only one small wall heater of the type usually seen in bathrooms for auxilliary heat. It was not enough to heat bedroom and bath, much less the bedroom by itself. Hotel was generally not well maintained, even to minimalistic standards. Bottoms were falling out from mattresses, towels were of the poorest possible quality, and room was not vacuumed well.

We loved lounging by the beautiful sun terrace and enjoyed some great family movie nights in the tv room. Just a heads up, there was a slight moldy smell when we arrived, but it didn't dampen our fun 😊

Nothing !!! After several complaints the room was replaced to a better one.
The shabbiness of the establishment; The neglected situatin of the facilities - curtain falling apart, water dont go out in the sink etc.
